How to deposit on Hyperliquid

Send at least 5 USDC on Arbitrum from your wallet, or to the deposit address shown if you log in with email. Smaller deposits can be lost. You can also deposit BTC, ETH, SOL and a few other coins and sell them for USDC on Hyperliquid.

Join with the code first. A deposit doesn't lock you out of adding a referral code, but trading more than $10,000 does, so it is simplest to open the join link before you fund the account.

With a connected wallet: USDC on Arbitrum

  1. Get USDC and a little ETH on Arbitrum. Most exchanges let you withdraw both on the Arbitrum network.
  2. On app.hyperliquid.xyz, click Deposit and choose USDC.
  3. Enter the amount, at least 5 USDC, and click Deposit.
  4. Confirm the transaction in your wallet. The USDC shows up in your trading balance.

The support docs say wallet-connected accounts take USDC deposits via Arbitrum only. Don't send USDC from another chain to your wallet address and expect it to arrive on Hyperliquid.

With email login: send to your deposit address

  1. Click Deposit. The app shows a deposit address and a QR code.
  2. Send USDC on Arbitrum, Ethereum, Base or Polygon to that address, from an exchange or another wallet.
  3. The deposit is routed to Hyperliquid and arrives as USDC in your account.

Amounts under 5 USDC are not credited. They are returned to your email wallet, except amounts under 1 USDC, which are lost.

Depositing other coins

The deposit window also takes BTC on Bitcoin, ETH and ENA on Ethereum, SOL and several Solana tokens, MON on Monad, XPL on Plasma, AVAX on Avalanche and ZEC on Zcash. Each has its own deposit address and shows the expected time and fee. These arrive as spot balances, so sell them for USDC before you trade perps.

Mistakes that lose money

  • Sending less than 5 USDC.
  • Sending on the wrong network. Match the network shown in the deposit window exactly.
  • Using a lookalike site. Check that the address bar says app.hyperliquid.xyz before you sign.
  • Following "support" who message you first. Hyperliquid's team does not DM users.

Withdrawing

Click Withdraw in the app and follow the steps. USDC goes out to Arbitrum or, through Across, to other chains, and other assets go back to their own chain. The window shows the fee before you confirm. The docs say withdrawals through the legacy Arbitrum bridge arrive in 3 to 4 minutes.

Questions

What is the minimum deposit on Hyperliquid?
5 USDC. With a connected wallet, a USDC deposit below 5 USDC is lost. With email login, amounts under 5 USDC are sent back to your email wallet, but anything under 1 USDC is lost.
How long does a deposit take?
The docs say USDC through the legacy Arbitrum bridge is credited in under a minute. Other routes show the expected time in the deposit window before you send.
Can I withdraw straight from Binance or Coinbase to Hyperliquid?
Not to your trading balance. None of the exchanges we checked (Binance, Coinbase, KuCoin, Gate, Bitget, HTX) withdraws USDC directly to HyperCore. Withdraw USDC to Arbitrum instead and deposit from there. Coinbase supports USDC on HyperEVM, but that lands on Hyperliquid's EVM chain and still has to be moved to your trading account.
Do I need ETH to deposit?
With a connected wallet, yes: a small amount of ETH on Arbitrum pays the gas for the deposit transaction. Trading on Hyperliquid itself needs no gas.
